(Spoiler)

The end of my book has Ethan solving his conflict. The main problem in my novel was Ethan suffering from a gambling addiction. Ethan wanted easy money to pay back his debts he asked Hornsby (the person who started his addiction) how he can do it. He tells Ethan there are to ways the risky way and the easy way. The easy way was for him to tell his dad about it but he got into an argument with his dad before he could tell him. He then tells Hornsby that he is going with the risky way. Hornsby then tells Ethan to meet him at his car by a convince store. when Ethan gets into his car Hornsby tells him that he has to rob the convince store to get his money back. Ethan the refuses and gets out of the car Hornsby then holds a gun to his head and tells them he has to rob the store. Ethan's sister then comes to save Ethan getting shot in the processes. When Ethan is at the hospital he talks to his dad and tells him what happened with Hornsby and the police tell his dad that Hornsby gets teenagers in debt with gambling and offers them a way out by getting them to rob a store.  Ethan's father then pays off the money he owes so Ethan can stop.  Ethan then finds out that it is not a car or money that is important in his life it is his family.

Question

My question to you is what would you do in Ethan's Situation (how will you pay back the money) and what is truly important to you in your life.

  1. If I was in this situation i would do my best to stop my addiction as fast as possible. Then I would go around looking for a job to help pay back the money lost from gambling. Something that is truly important in my life would have to be is being with family and friends.

  2. If I were in the same situation, having a gun pointed at me, I would probably end up robbing the store, for the sake of my life. Afterwards, I would probably end up in jail.

    1. But then again, going to jail would probably ruin my life anyway... So it seems like a lose-lose situation
